Dr. Sid Khurana Discusses Self-Care, Self-Esteem & Self-Love Ahead of Valentines Day

With Valentine's Day around the corner, Dr. Khurana from Nevada Mental Health gave some excellent insights for parents on the importance of focusing on self-love and self-care as he sat down for an interview with CBS Las Vegas news. 

Dr. Khurana explained that self-esteem is our perception of our abilities, qualities, and characteristics. On the other hand, self-love is our sense of our own worth and how much we value ourselves. He emphasized that in order to have self-love, you first need to have self-esteem.

So, how can we build our self-esteem and self-love? Dr. Khurana had some great tips. First, he suggested investing in healthy relationships with people you trust and who trust you back. Engaging in positive self-talk and taking care of yourself by exercising, eating well, and making time to do things you love are also important.
